NEWBERRY — The Newberry Middle School football team played for their fifth consecutive Lex-10 championship on last Monday, Oct. 27 on the campus of Newberry High School. The Tigers defeated Beechwood Middle school by the score of 26-15 to capture that fifth consecutive title.
Some of their most memorable wins this season are listed below.
• Newberry Middle School defeated Mid-Carolina Middle School by the score of 26-0 on Oct. 22.
• Newberry Middle School defeated White Knoll by the score of 22-8 on Oct. 25.
• Newberry Middle School defeated Sand Hills by the score of 42-14 on Oct. 2.
• Newberry Middle School defeated Saluda by the score of 22-14 on Sept. 19.
