NEWBERRY — The Newberry men’s golf team was one of 22 NCAA Division 2 schools nationwide to earn the Golf Coaches Association of America Outstanding Team Academic Award.
To be eligible for the award a team must achieve a minimum of a 3.5 team grade point average during the academic year.
The Wolves, the 2019 and 2022 GCAA national champions, finished the 2023-24 academic year with a 3.71 team grade point average, which led the South Atlantic Conference in team GPA for a seventh consecutive year.
