Bulldogs outdone by Eagles

NEWBERRY — The Chapin Eagles football squad scored 35 points and restricted the host Newberry Bulldogs to 24 in the non-league loss on Monday, Sept 13.

The Eagles now possess a 3-0 record. Newberry fell to 1-2 with the loss to Chapin.

For the season offensively, K.J. Robinson has led the rushing attack for the Bulldogs. He is now at 342 yards gained on the season and five touchdowns scored. Zack Chalmers leads the team in receptions with 13 for 135 yards. Kicker Roland Garcia has contributed 3 PAT’s and one field goal. He has also handled kickoff duties and has two touchbacks.

Defensively, Joe Brehmer leads the Bulldogs with 26 tackles, including two sacks. Tyrese Wise has 14 tackles on the year including one sack.
