God forgives us, so should we

If God has forgiven us, we need to forgive ourselves and go on with life.

We don’t need to continue to beat ourselves up over something God has forgiven.

God has forgiven us so we need to forgive others. We need not dwell on the past. We have to let things go and trust God to take care of the situations in His way and His time.

If we continue to remind ourselves of the wrong that we have done, there is no way we can have peace in our heart.

Forgiveness comes from deep within and Satan loves to try and bring us down by bringing up the past.

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we have a new beginning. We are a new creature in Christ. We may have to live with consequences related to some of the wrong we have done. But we don’t have to live with the guilt and shame.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

We should remind ourselves of God’s forgiveness, and know that He wants us to forgive ourselves and live for Him.
