Lail announces run for Newberry Clerk of Court

NEWBERRY — Republican Rick Lail has announced that he will run for Newberry County Clerk of Court.

Lail earned a degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina and started several successful small businesses in the county over the past two decades. He also served as a magistrate in Newberry County for 13 years, retiring in 2015.

“I am looking forward to putting my 25 years of business experience to work for the taxpayers of Newberry County and managing the office in the most professional manner possible,” said Lail.

Rick and his wife, Lisa, live in Pomaria. They have been married for 26 years and have one daughter, Tura Jean, and attend Seacoast Church.
