NEWBERRY — Newberry High School’s varsity golf team continues to make the community proud after capturing the region 4-AAA championship in an outstanding season led by region 4-AAA Coach of the Year Coach Redd and Coach Busby.
The championship marks a tremendous accomplishment for the Bulldogs program and reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown by the student-athletes throughout the season.
Adding to the celebration, four Newberry High School golfers — Noah Mohler, Trust Winters, Ryan Wilson, and Zarek Reid — earned All-Region honors for their exceptional performances on the course. Trust Winters was also recognized as the region 4-AAA Conference Player of the Year, further highlighting the strength of the Bulldogs’ championship team.
The honors continue for Newberry High School as senior golfer Noah Mohler was selected to represent the program in the prestigious North/South All-Star Golf Tournament. Mohler will continue his academic and athletic career as a future golfer at Newberry College.
The Bulldogs are now preparing for the AAA Lower State Qualifier scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, at the Fort Jackson Wildcat Course. As the team balances academics and athletics during postseason competition, the support of teachers, staff, families, and the Newberry community remains greatly appreciated.
Newberry High School’s golf program continues to represent the school and community with excellence, sportsmanship, and pride both on and off the course.
