PROSPERITY, S.C. — The Mid-Carolina Rebels(2-1) girl’s varsity soccer team picked up their second win of the season on Thursday, March 13th. They defeated Pelion(0-2, 0-1 region 2-AA) by the score of 10-0. The win also gave longtime head coach Mike Mauldin his 300th career win.

The Lady Rebels are off to a hot start this season after falling to Dixie in the first game, they now have had two consecutive shutouts against Batesburg-Leesville and Pelion. Mid-Carolina have out scored their opponents 16-0 over that two-game stretch.

In Thursday’s match, they scored six goals in the first half and scored another four goals in the second half to cruise to the win. The team celebrated after the big win with a gatorade shower and posed for a picture. The Lady Rebels have won 13 or more games in the last three seasons and have only one region loss over that same span. Mauldin is one of the most successful head coaches in Mid-Carolina history for all sports. His dedication and commitment to student-athletes is unmatched. Congratulations to Coach Mauldin and good luck for the remainder of the season.
