ANDERSON, S.C.- The Wolves (25-25, 11-13 SAC) fell to the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial (27-25, 11-13 SAC) this afternoon to finish their 2024 season.
The Wolves started the game off with a solo home run from Sierra Brogdon in the top of the first to put the Wolves up 1-0. The Railsplitters would answer by adding three runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead 3-1.
Bethany Pigg would then hit a two-run bomb in the top of the second to tie the game 3-3. Lincoln Memorial would add three runs in the bottom of the third to regain the lead 6-3.
In the top of the fifth, Vanessa Wilson hit an RBI single to right field and Cassidy Phelps then reached on a fielder’s choice and Hailey Hill would cross the plate to shorten the Railsplitters lead 6-5.
The Railsplitters added one more run in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 7-5.
Lincoln Memorial took the back-and-forth battle 7-5.
