WHITMIRE — The Whitmire boys varsity basketball team lost to High Point by a score of 74-63.
“Whitmire came out playing hard, but missed layups and turnovers doomed them. On the other side of the ball, High Point came out on fire from the three point line,” said Head Coach Andrew Bowers.
This was the last home game for Whitmire this year.
The Wolverines fell to Dixie by a score of 65-39 in a region contest on Friday.
“There is not a lot to say other than we could not get a shot to fall, and Dixie came out on fire. Whitmire was also missing one of its leading scorers due to an ankle injury,” Bowers said.
