Lady Wolverines win region game over SCSDB

WHITMIRE — The Whitmire varsity Lady Wolverines traveled to Spartanburg to take on SCSDB in a region match-up and were improved to 1-1 in the region.

“The girls came out lazy on both sides of the floor before making a run to get a double-digit lead after the first quarter. They turned it around a bit in the third, but still was not our best basketball,” said Head Coach Chaz Adams.

Leanna Eison led the team in scoring with nine points. Alexus Sanders and Harleigh McLaren added six each, Savannah Johnson five, Raegan Kendrick four, Ashelyn King three, and Jordyn Brooks and Kadence Guinn two.

Harleigh McLaren led the team in rebounding with eight. Samantha Strubeck added four, Leanna Eison three, Kadence Guinn three, Raegan Kendrick two, and five players with one.

The Lady Wolverines had 12 steals, 11 assists and one block.
