WHITMIRE — The Whitmire junior varsity baseball team blasted Great Falls 12-0 on Thursday afternoon. Starter Hunter Alexander threw three no-hit innings for the Wolverines. He only allowed two walks to Great Falls batters. The Wolverines were led at the plate by Cason English who was 3-3 with a walk. Gabrield Sturkery was 0-0, with three HBP.
The Wolverines improved to 4-8-1 and will play their final game at Landrum on next Thursday.
The Wolverines lost at Ware Shoals 3-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Ross Williams took the loss for the Wolverines throwing a complete game. Offensively, the Wolverines got key hits from Cason English and Hunter Alexander. Whitmire left too many runners on base throughout the game.
