I wanted your readers to know of a hidden gem in Newberry. The Newberry College Cafeteria serves excellent meals at an excellent price. The “Caf” as it is called by students is open to the public during the week with a huge variety of foods.
You can get regular meat and three types of foods, make a sandwich, eat a salad from the salad bar, eat hamburgers and hot dogs from the grill or eat from a pizza buffet. They have a great Sunday brunch type meal that you can get a traditional Sunday lunch or you can get breakfast items that is all you can eat.
The staff is very friendly to the people that come to eat and provide good service. The students seem to enjoy seeing the local people in the cafeteria and are very nice to people as well.
After you enjoy a delicious meal, you can also take in one of the many sporting activities. Right now men’s and women’s basketball is in full season, soon to be followed by softball and baseball.
Newberry College has so much to offer our community and many people take it for granted. I think if you will try the cafeteria you will be as pleased and I and you won’t find any better athletics than at Newberry College. All of it is a very reasonable price.
