Coroner IDs shooting victim

NEWBERRY — Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece has identified the victim of the August 18 shooting on I-26 at mile marker 82.

Kneece identified the victim as 52-year-old Rose Helen Kewlani of West Columbia.

This incident remains under investigation through Newberry County Coroner’s Office, Newberry County Sheriff’s Department and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
