NEWBERRY —Newberry Filmwerks was officially welcomed to the community during a ribbon cutting ceremony June 12.
Newberry Filmwerks, a Black and veteran-owned business, was founded in 2021 and works with the community by filming content for local artists, including the MTD Arthouse Theater. It’s also the first area business to obtain SBA funding through the Newberry College SBA office, which allowed them to initiate a fast-growing drone photography service.
Newberry Filmwerks is getting ready to shoot a music video in downtown Newberry in July. Apart from their creative works, Newberry Filmwerks also sells t-shirts and other promotional items on their website, www.newberryfilmwerks.com.
