CLINTON – SCDDSN Whitten Center recognized Teresa Grant, a residential staff supervisor, as the Employee of the Quarter for July through September.
Whitten Center and its Parents’ Club recognize an Employee of the Quarter for going above and beyond the call of duty. Employees are nominated by their peers/co-workers to be recognized, and a selection committee reviews the nominations.
Grant works hands-on with all of the residents in her unit, as well as serving in other capacities/departments when needed at the Whitten Center facility. She was noted as having a great work ethic and positive attitude at all times.
“The Selection Committee voted unanimously for Teresa Grant to receive this quarter’s award,” said Tara Glenn, director of Volunteer Services and committee chair. “Ms. Grant is very deserving, and serves as a picture perfect candidate for this type of award.”
Whitten Center works to assist those with disabilities and their families to address individual needs, empower minds, promote growth in skills and abilities, and facilitate social interaction and community involvement. This is done in a setting that encourages independence balanced with a safe, secure, and supportive environment.
