NEWBERRY — The Newberry City Police Department is seeking help identifying two people regarding the larceny of a wallet.

On Jan. 15, shortly before 10 p.m., the victim paid for his groceries and the customer behind him. The victim then left his wallet on the counter at Food Lion, located at 1821 Wilson Road, Newberry, and left the area.

After the victim left, the cashier noticed the wallet. The suspect had just finished his transaction and claimed the wallet as his own. The suspect is described as a white male approximately six foot-tall and weighing 225 lbs. The suspect was wearing a yellow and green hat, glasses and has a beard several inches long on the front and trimmed close on the sides. He was accompanied by a white female subject with dark brown hair approximately 5’6” tall and weighing approximately 150 lbs.
