NEWBERRY COUNTY — Andrew William Bedenbaugh, of Macon, Georgia, was arrested by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and booked in the Newberry County Detention Center on Dec. 13.

According to the Newberry County Inmate’s information website, the 24 year old Bedenbaugh was charged by SLED with the following crimes, three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor or attempt – victim 11 to 14 years old – second degree; three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, third degree (victim under 16 years old and actor over 14 years); two counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor or attempt – victim under 11 years of age – first degree. He was charged with three additional charges.

The website further indicates he was not given a bond.

According to the arrest warrants issued by SLED, the earliest crime took place July 27, 2010 and the most recent of the crimes took place in June of this year in Newberry County.

SLED was asked to investigate this case by the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office after the crimes were reported this year.
