ROCK HILL – Congressman Joe Wilson and the Put Vets First! PAC have endorsed Ralph Norman in the May 16 Republican runoff for Congress.
“I was grateful to join Ralph Norman for his bus tour in 2006, the first year he courageously ran for Congress to replace a powerful Democrat incumbent,” Wilson said in a statement. “I learned firsthand of the competence and dedication of Ralph, who I know would be an effective Member of Congress. Ralph’s campaign today is a continuation of those same principles we share — a strong national defense, limited government, and expanded freedom.”
The Put Vets First! PAC, which seeks to make veterans issues a top national priority, called Norman a “true champion for American veterans.”
“(Ralph’s) work to understand the challenges veterans face is proof of his commitment to serving the veterans’ community in his district, and around the nation,” said USAR (Ret.) Major Brian Hampton, chairman of Put Vets First!.
Norman said he was “humbled by the support of Congressman Wilson and the Put Vets First! PAC.”
“We must honor the sacrifice of our veterans and their families. As your Congressman, I will fight to fully fund our military to ensure our personnel in harm’s way have the advantage on the battlefield and the support they need when they return home,” he said.
