Mr. and Mrs. William Parnell of Newberry are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Elyssa Rae Parnell to Daniel Byron Haven Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Haven Sr. of Prosperity.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Lester of Newberry, William and Jean Parnell of Surfside Beach and the late Geraldine Parnell. She is a graduate of Newberry College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and minor in Graphic Design. She is a staff writer at The Newberry Observer in Newberry.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Drumm of Chapin and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Haven of Florida. He is a graduate of Lander University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is the Business Administrator at Mid-Carolina Club in Prosperity.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Stone River in Columbia, S.C. Formal invitations will be sent.
