NEWBERRY — Newberry Middle School girls and boys basketball teams off to a hot start. The girls’ team have started the season with a 5-1 record and defeated White Knoll Middle School 27-13 in their latest matchup on December 19th.
The boys’ team is 6-0 and defeated White Knoll Middle School boys 57-29. The boys are averaging 56.2 points per game on offense and are only giving up 19.6 points per game to opponents. They are also defeating teams by an average of 36.5 points per game.
The girls’ team is averaging 30.5 points per game on the offensive end and are only allowing 15 points per game. Their average margin of victory is 20.2 points per game.
Both teams will be off for a few weeks before returning back to action on January 9th against Mid-Carolina.
