EUGENE, OR — Former Newberry High School graduate and current Oregon defensive lineman Jamaree Caldwell accepts Reese’s Senior Bowl invitation.
The six-foot-one 340 pounds college journey started at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. He then took his talents to Independence Community College for a season and appeared in four games. Caldwell tallied seven total tackles, a half of a sack and three tackles for loss.
The defensive lineman finally got his chance at the Division One level and committed to Houston University in 2022. He spent two years with the Cougars and had his best season in 2023. He had a career-high 6.5 sacks, 22 solo tackles, 27 total tackles and a forced fumble.
After two years with the Cougars, Caldwell took his talents to Eugene, Oregon to play for the Oregon Ducks. He is key contributor to the Ducks’ defense and have helped them to the number one overall seed in the College Football Playoffs. Oregon went 13-0 and won the Big 10 Championship in their first year in the conference.
Caldwell is projected to go day three of the 2025 NFL Draft.
