BATESBURG-LEESVILLE — The Newberry High School Bulldogs defeated Batesburg-Leesville by a score of 21-20 Friday night.

The Panthers would put points on the board first, the score 6-0.

Going into the half, the Bulldogs would make a comeback with the score now 14-12. By the start of the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs extended their lead with another touchdown, the score 21-12.

Trying to catch up to the Bulldogs with the clock winding down, the Panthers would add another set of points on the board, resulting in the 21-20 score.

The Bulldogs will be back at home next week to take on the Eagles of Chapin High School.
