NEWBERRY — Chapin-Newberry Senior American Legion (Post 193 and Post 24) will again be in the South Carolina play-offs finishing the 2017 season with an overall record of 13-5.
Chapin-Newberry will represent League 8 in the post season for the fourth consecutive time as champions and is hosting Goose Creek Post 166 in a best of five series that started July 5.
The first game was played at Newberry College. On July 6 the action moved to Summerville’s Cane Bay High School for the second game.
The remaining games will continue to alternate locations until one team has secured three 3 wins.
Newberry Jr American Legion (Post 24) will represent League 8 as the No. 2 seed and is hosting Chester (Post 27) in a three-game series that started on July 5. The Newberry Juniors have a record of 9-5. Game 2 was played at the Chester Baseball Complex.
