
NEWBERRY — Classes are still available for Newberry College’s Summer Session Two being offered July 6 through Aug. 4. All classes are open to the public and can be taken for credit or audited. These classes are ideal for lifelong learners wanting to explore an interest or beef up a skill.

Social Psychology (PSY 236 – Blended) – Explore aspects of individual behavior – how your thoughts, feelings and behavior – are influenced by the actual or implied presence of others.
Public Speaking (SPE 110) – Learn strategies to organize talking points and give more dynamic speeches.
Personal/Community Health (PHE 210 – Blended) – Students will explore the fundamentals of improving the health of communities through education, disease and injury prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles.
How to enroll in summer courses
Learners have four options for taking classes at Newberry College:
• Audit: Taking classes without receiving a grade or course credit. Auditing students pay a $50 course audit fee.
• For college credit: Taking classes for college credit but not pursuing a degree at Newberry College.
• For Newberry credit: Enrolled or students planning to attend College in the fall may enroll in summer classes. Must be an admitted student.
• South Carolina teachers: Newberry College offers a tuition discount to South Carolina elementary and secondary school teachers. Must have a valid South Carolina teaching certificate. Contact Office of the Registrar.
