In the festive spirit! Folks came downtown dressed in their best German attire for Friday night’s Oktoberfest kickoff event.
Wingz Thingz & More was one of the food trucks open to serve the community Friday night.
Ernest Lee, also known as “The Chicken Man” held painting classes with children inside the Newberry Arts Center.
Along with traditional food vendors, snack vendors, such as this area serving cotton candy, could be found in the KinderFest Zone.
The KinderFest Zone was full of activities for children to enjoy, like this rock climbing wall.
Members of the Newberry Police Department and Newberry Fire Department were on hand to serve the community during Saturday’s Oktoberfest event.
The main music stage continued live entertainment throughout the event, which was a popular place for many visitors.
There were lots of options for authentic German cuisine during Saturday’s Oktoberfest, including foods like this from The Wurst Wagen.
Saturday’s event boasted 36 different arts and craft vendors lining Main Street.
