Exhibitors have through Sept. 1 to enter
SOUTH CAROLINA — The South Carolina State Fair is now accepting entries for its annual competitive exhibits, which will be on display Oct. 8-19, 2025 during the S.C. State Fair. Exhibitors from across South Carolina are invited to submit their entries, now through Sept. 1, in a variety of categories for a chance to compete at the state’s largest event.
“Our competitive exhibits are the heart of the South Carolina State Fair and a tradition that has become a true representation of our state,” says Nancy Smith, general manager of the S.C. State Fair. “We’re proud to offer a platform where South Carolinians of all ages can showcase their skills and passions, and we can’t wait to celebrate their incredible work in October.”
The competitive exhibits are made up of 16 categories — from agriculture and cattle to fine art and flowers — there are a range of categories that showcase the best of South Carolina. People of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the competitions. More than $300,000 in premiums will be offered for award-winning exhibits in agriculture, art, home and crafts, flowers, livestock and more.
This year there are a variety of new competitions, including the South Carolina Slider Showdown, the Eggless Brownie Baking Challenge, the Harvesting Happiness Native Design Contest, the South Carolina Seed Art Contest and more.
This year’s theme, “Harvesting Happiness,” celebrates the joy, connection and sense of community that take root at the S.C. State Fair. From lively exhibits and spirited competitions to a variety of agricultural experiences, the fair brings to life the traditions and talents that make South Carolina shine. Rooted in generations of farmers, artisans and innovators, South Carolina’s agricultural spirit continues to thrive — and this year, fairgoers are invited to share in 12 days of fun, flavor and feel-good moments.
