
Heidi Cruz, wife of GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz, visited Lander University and spoke to about 200 students, faculty and staff gathered in Lander’s Johnston Commons.
GREENWOOD — Heidi Cruz, wife of Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz, visited the Lander University campus five days before the South Carolina Republican primary.
Cruz met with members of the university’s senior staff, then spent time meeting students, faculty and staff at a gathering in the Johnston Commons. She talked about the importance of the presidential election and her efforts to tell people who Ted Cruz is and what he stands for.
Third District Congressman Jeff Duncan and his wife, Melody, accompanied her.
