NEWBERRY — The Newberry Fire Department responded to 1530 Main Street Monday at approximately 9:31 a.m. Fire Chief Keith Minick said workers at the building called to say a motor on a lift was on fire. Upon arrival, crews investigated and found no active fire.

Minick said power was isolated to the motor. Access to the roof was gained for crews to check for any concern or extension from the initial fire. There were no injuries.

Crews were called out to 1530 Main Street on Monday in response to a lift on fire, but upon arrival the fire was out.
