NEWBERRY — The Newberry Opera House released their main 2019-20 season lineup in August, but the Opera House is adding more shows to the late winter and spring. The lineup is already diverse featuring everyone from Travis Tritt to Peter Pan and Cinderella on Ice, from The Isaacs with Terry Bradshaw to Mariachi Herencia de Mexico.

Now, the Newberry Opera House has announced the addition of the following artists: The Gibson Brothers, Shawn Colvin, Gene Watson, Tony Orlando, and Rick Alviti. Tickets for these added performances went on sale Tuesday, October 29, at 10:00 a.m.

The Gibson Brothers: Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 // 8:00 p.m. // T1: $60 // T2: $55 // T3: $50 (fees apply at checkout) This award-winning duo has released eight studio albums and won 11 IMBA awards. The Gibson Brothers are known for popular songs “In the Ground,” “Mockingbird,” “Brotherhood,” “They Call It Music,” “Red-Letter Day,” and many others. Now having established themselves as Bluegrass royalty, Leigh and Eric Gibson step into what some might at first see as uncharted territory on their country-soul breakout “Mockingbird,” the new album produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Fergie Ferguson.

Shawn Colvin: Friday, April 24, 2020 // 8:00 p.m. // T1: $65 // T2: $60 // T3: $50 (fees apply at checkout)

Three-time Grammy® award winning artist Shawn Colvin stands out as an enduring and unique talent in today’s music. She combines Americana, Pop, and Country sounds for an awe-inspiring brand of music full of creativity. In September 2019, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the release of “Steady On,” Colvin will be releasing a special, newly-recorded all acoustic version of that landmark album. And, now you can join this singer-songwriter in Newberry where she’ll perform hits like “Sunny Came Home” and much more.

Gene Watson: Sunday, May 31, 2020 // 4:00 p.m. // T1: $60 // T2: $55 // T3: $50 (fees apply at checkout)

Back by popular demand, Gene Watson and his multi-octave range returns to the Newberry Opera House. Known for a unique style of traditional Country, Watson was a mainstay in the Country charts throughout the 70s and 80s with hits like “14 Carat Mind,” “Love in the Hot Afternoon,” and “Farewell Party.” Featuring songs written by fellow Opera House alums Kris Kristofferson, Larry Gatlin, Bill Anderson and more, his new album entitled “Real.Country.Music.” proves the 72-year-old Watson is still the master of Classic Country music.

Tony Orlando: Friday, June 5, 2020 // 8:00 p.m. // T1: $130 // T2: $120 // T3: $110 (fees apply at checkout)

Known for his popular hits “Tie a Yellow Ribbon ‘Round the Ole Oak Tree,” “Knock Three Times,” “Candida,” “My Sweet Gypsy Rose” and “He Don’t Love You (Like I Love You),” Tony Orlando is a top-selling recording artist, songwriter, concert headliner, network television star, Motion Picture actor, Broadway performer and author.

Long before “Tie a Yellow Ribbon (Around the Old Oak Tree)” was Nancy Reagan’s favorite song, Tony Orlando was hired by Dan Kirshner as a Brill Building songwriter. Clive Davis would recognize his talent and hire him at Columbia where he would become VP of Columbia/CBS Music signing artists such as Barry Manilow and working with artist like James Taylor and The Grateful Dead. Orlando has sold millions of records, released many top 40 hits, including five number one hits.

Rick Alviti: That’s the Way It Was Elvis Tribute: Saturday, June 6, 2020 // 8:00 p.m. Tickets $39 (fees apply at checkout)

Rick Alviti attempts to give the best recreation of Elvis Presley’s live shows, with a focus on the details. Alviti has performed on many TV shows, and appeared in several movies, and toured across the country performing at festivals, theatres and casinos.
