LITTLE MOUNTAIN — Mr. and Mrs. Charles Paul Shealy of Little Mountain announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Lynn Shealy of Little Mountain, to Daniel Thomas Werts of Newberry. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Lee Werts Sr. of Newberry.
The bride’s maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George Edger Frick of Little Mountain. The bride’s paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shealy of Little Mountain.
The groom’s maternal grandparents are: grandmother, Ms. Dale McCarty Brigman, grandfather, the late Mr. Thomas Reggie Brigman, and step-grandmother, Carolyn Sanford Brigman all of Newberry. The groom’s paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thaddeus Werts of Newberry.
The bride is a graduate of Newberry College, and is employed with the City of Newberry Utilities Department and Development Services. The groom is a graduate of Clemson University, and is employed with the City of Newberry Fire Department and Brigman’s Septic Tanks.
The wedding will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in Little Mountain, with the reception to follow at the Friend Street Building, 901 Friend Street, Newberry. All friends and family are welcome. No formal invitations will be sent.
