UNION — The Newberry High School Bulldogs scored 20 unanswered third quarter points, having to hold off a furious Union County comeback to win at Union 34-27 tonight.

The Bulldogs had 396 yards of total offense as they were led by Amir Abrams and Yafari Werts with 98 and 981 yards, respectively.

The Bulldogs had 18 first downs, while the Yellow Jackets had 10. Newberry High School will travel to Clinton on Friday, September 4 for a kickoff of 7:30 p.m.
