PROSPERITY — The eighth annual Ruth S. Pugh Foundation Golf Tournament was held on April 11 at the Mid-Carolina County Club. The tournament is the primary fundraising event for the Ruth S. Pugh Foundation and is held in honor of Bill Braswell, vice-chairman for the Newberry County Disabilities and Special Needs Board. The foundation works closely with the Newberry DSN Board to help support individuals with disabilities and special needs.

Twenty-one teams participated in the captain’s choice tournament and the top three teams were as follows: First Place – Big Gun Robotics (score of 56); Second Place – Bill Braswell’s Team (score of 57); and Third Place – Will Farrior’s Team (score of 62).
