NEWBERRY — On December 11, the Hispanic community of Newberry came together to commemorate the apparition of La Virgen de Guadalupe. A celebration that has taken place each year since her first appearance in 1531.

As an offering, many members of the community danced folkloric dances from different regions of Mexico and Guatemala. As a sign of gratitude and celebration to venerate La Virgen de Guadalupe.
