PROSPERITY — Newberry County Coroner Craig Newton has identified James Michael Shepherd of Roebuck, South Carolina as the fatal victim of a traffic incident that occurred Sunday near Prosperity.
Shepherd, 45, was killed instantly after being partially ejected from his overturned vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected. The collision occurred at approximately 11:49 a.m. on Macedonia Church Road. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
