NEWBERRY — Antonio Mathis Lindsay, 35, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, after he inappropriately touched a 6-year-old.
According to the incident report, the Newberry Police Department received a notification letter from the Department of Social Services in regard to the criminal sexual conduct case. The investigation revealed that the abuse began in October of last year and continued until April of this year.
“This was ongoing abuse,” said Lieutenant Allison Moore.
Lindsay, a Newberry resident, was arrested July 7. His bond was set at $75,000. He is currently being held at the Newberry County Detention Center.
