NEWBERRY — Newberry College junior outside hitter Logan Hayward has been named all-South Atlantic Conference honorable mention.
Hayward posted 290 kills this year, which was eighth best in the conference. Hayward notched 2.76 kills per set which was 11th-most in the conference. Hayward also is tied for the 11th spot in digs at 362 digs on the year.
Hayward’s best match came against Queens on Sept. 12 when the Wolves won 3-2. Hayward tallied a double-double with 19 kills, 24 digs, two aces and two blocks. Just three days later, Hayward notched another double-double against Mars Hill as she posted 16 kills, 21 digs, one ace and one block. Hayward notched double digit digs in 20 of the 27 matches this year and posted double digit numbers in 23 matches
