NEWBERRY — The Newberry Academy football team took on Clarendon Hall on Friday where they fell 47-0.

Clarendon Hall got on the board right in the first quarter, with over 10 minutes still on the clock, and the two-point conversion being successful. This luck continued for Clarendon Hall throughout the night, all the while preventing Newberry Academy from making it on the scoreboard.

By the time it was halftime, Clarendon Hall led 41-0.

However, they would only have to score once in the second quarter thanks to Newberry Academy’s defense.

This week, Newberry Academy will travel to King Academy where they look to make a comeback.
