PROSPERITY — The Mid-Carolina High School girls and boys cross country teams competed against 19 schools in Saturday’s Lakeland’s Invitational hosted by Greenwood High and Emerald High.
Cameron Wicker medaled for a ninth place overall finish – 20:33. The girls team finished in eighth place overall with five personal records and one season best. Top five runners for MC were Cameron Wicker 20:33 PR, Claire Hawkins 23:20 PR, Caroline Matney 23:30 PR, Sara Black 25:09 PR, and Haley Thomason 25:19.
The boys had their best race of the season thus far with 13 PRs and two season bests. Top five runners for the Boys team were Jon Lawson Cope 19:13 PR, Samuel Trainor 19:35 PR, Alex Garcia 20:41 SB, David Rodgers 21:00 PR, and Michael O’Neal 21:13 PR.
The girls team finished in eighth place overall with five PRs and one season best.
