NEWBERRY — The Newberry Academy Eagles fell to Northside Christian Friday night 34-14.

The game took a late start due to weather, but when they did Northside was first on the board with a touchdown and a two-point conversion. However, neither team would see the score board increase any further in the first quarter.

During the second, Northside got a touchdown right at the start, but this time the conversion was no good. The Eagles came back with a touchdown of their own, thanks to Dustin Hendrix, about a minute later — the conversion was no good. The score would then become 14-6. However, Northside increased their lead for the last time in the second with another touchdown, but again, the conversion was no good.

The half ended 20-6.

Coming into the third, Northside received the only touchdown in the quarter, this time the conversion was good. The quarter would end 28-6.
