NEWBERRY — Mid-Carolina Junior Team will host Lancaster Monday, July 15 at 6 p.m., travel to Lancaster Tuesday at 7 p.m. and, if necessary, host the final game of the best of three series on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Winner of this best of three series advances to the State Tournament in Inman.

The Chapin-Newberry Legion Ball Team travelled to Easley for the deciding game three of the best of three series and came home with a 7-5 win. Nickie Demasi earned the win on the mound with Wesley Livingston earning the save. The offense was led by Jackie Stroud who had two doubles and four RBIs; Jarret Whitley, Jalen McDuffie and Chase Hood all had RBI singles.

Chapin-Newberry advances to play Greer in a best of five series starting Monday, July 15 at Greer and then back at Newberry College on Tuesday, July 16 at 7 p.m.
