NEWBERRY — Newberry’s volleyball program has revealed their game schedule for the upcoming 2018 season.
The Wolves will open the season at Montreat with a pair of nonconference doubleheaders as a part of the Montreat Invitational taking place August 24-25.
Newberry will play 20 South Atlantic Conference (SAC) contests with half of them taking place at Eleazer Arena. The team’s conference opener will see the Wolves head to Lenoir-Rhyne on Tuesday, Sept. 4 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The following weekend Newberry will travel to Florence for the Francis Marion Invitational to close their nonconference schedule, with opponents including UNC Pembroke, Francis Marion and Mount Olive.
After nearly three weeks on the road the Wolves will return to Eleazer Arena to host Carson-Newman in their conference home opener on Sept. 14 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The contest will kick off a four-game home stretch that will include Anderson, Lincoln Memorial and Tusculum.
Conference matches will continue into October with Newberry hosting five consecutive home games starting on Oct. 2 versus Mars Hill and concluding Oct. 13 against Carson-Newman.
The final home contest will take place on Oct. 27 against Wingate at 7:00 p.m. Newberry’s regular season will conclude Nov. 3 on the road against Catawba.
