INMAN — Marlon Martinez scored three goals on assists from Brandon Perez and Jose Guzman and Jan Carlo Cardenas added one as the Mid-Carolina High School JV boys soccer team defeated Chapman Tuesday night 4-2. The Rebels built a 3-0 halftime lead with a strong first half effort. Early in the second half the Rebel goalie Erik Ayala left with an injury leaving the team with no experienced goalies. Alberto Leyva and Chase Dickert filled in and Martinez added the fourth goal late to seal the win.
The win improved the Rebels’ record to 5-5 on the season.
