NEWBERRY — The No. 27 Wolves concluded their regular season with a 6-3 win on senior day against nationally-ranked opponent No. 34 Tusculum.

Newberry finished their season with a 20-6 record going 6-3 in league play.

The tandem of Edison Ambarzumjan and Jordan Monosky put Newberry on the board with their 8-1 decision in the first doubles flight. Nikhil Mannepalli and Angel Pizarro followed it up in the No. 2 spot securing the 8-5 win, while No. 3 Jose Navarro and Alex Amble rounded out the sweep with another 8-5 score.

Tusculum opened singles action with a win to close the gap 3-1. The Wolves rebounded with three consecutive victories from Monosky, Ambarzumjan and Mannepalli to seal the win. No. 5 Monosky posted a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 tiebreaker to clinch the match followed another tight decision from No. 1 Ambarzumjan 3-6, 6-2, 7-6. Senior Mannepalli nabbed the 6-0, 6-4 score to round out the Newberry victors.
