JV Rebels fall to Clinton

CLINTON — Nothing came easy for Mid-Carolina Rebels JV baseball team on Friday, as they fell 12-4 to Clinton.

In the first inning, Clinton got their offense started. Alexander singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Clinton pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third, an error scored one run for Clinton and Perkins singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Clinton scored seven runs in the fifth inning. number three, number six, Wilson, Reece, Watkins and Alexander all drove in runs in the frame.

Alexander led the Clinton to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He went four and a third innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out two. Number three threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Blake Mueller took the loss for Mid-Carolina Rebels JV. He lasted two innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three and walking one.

Connor Gray led Mid-Carolina Rebels JV with two hits in three at bats.
