CLINTON — The Mid-Carolina JV Girls Soccer team lost 1-0 to Clinton and the Varsity Girls soccer lost 5-4 to Clinton.

Mid-Carolina boys soccer spoiled Senior Night at Clinton with a 3-2 victory Friday night. The win is the Rebels’ third in a row, bringing their record to 4-3 in region play and 6-5 overall.

Freshman Brandon Noriega started things off for Mid-Carolina sending a perfect free kick just over the Red Devil goalie. Brian Garcia made the lead 2-0 heading in another free kick, this one sent in by Calen McManus. Clinton was able to claw back and tie the score just before halftime. About halfway through the second half the Rebels were awarded a penalty kick after Kaleb Boland was pulled down in the box. McManus stepped to the penalty spot and found the back of the net giving Mid-Carolina the lead. Rebel goalie Chandler Dickert and the rest of the team survived several late challenges from Clinton to preserve the win.
