NEWBERRY — A full weekend of fun and fellowship is on tap for April 13 and 14 in Newberry with several alumni events and spring sports contests on the schedule.
The weekend begins with the Athletic Club/Football Golf Tournament at the Country Club of Newberry on Friday, April 13. Play begins with a noon shotgun start. For questions or more information, please contact Mike Hold at mike.hold@newberry.edu or (803) 321-5247.
Later that evening, the baseball team opens its final home series of the season with a 6:00 p.m. game against visiting Wingate at the Smith Road Complex.
An alumni flag football game is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14 at Setzler Field that will precede the spring game at 1:00 p.m. The Athletic Club and Lettermen’s Club will sponsor a Spring Social near the fountain circle outside Setzler Field.
In addition to the spring football game, softball and baseball will host Alumni Day doubleheaders against Tusculum and Wingate, respectively, at the Smith Road Complex. Senior Day festivities will also be taking place at both games.
Men’s soccer will host an alumni game at 1:00 p.m., also at the Smith Road Complex, with a cookout to follow at the Soccer House. The day will conclude with the Women’s Soccer Alumnae Game at 7:00 p.m. at Setzler Field.
