WHITMIRE — The Varsity Lady Wolverines softball team hosted the Clinton Red Devils and lost by a score of 5-3. On the Defensive side of the ball the Wolverines pitched well and played some solid defense. On the Offensive side they struggled a little bit at the plate.
Leading hitters for the night were Selena Plaza and Caylee Ellison. Plaza was two for three with with one run scored, two singles, and a RBI. Ellison was one for three with one run scored and one stolen base.
The Lady Wolverines hosted the Blacksburg Wildcats over spring break. The Wolverines lost by a score of 7-3.
