JONESVILLE — The JV Lady Wolverines traveled to Jonesville for a double header on Monday night. The first game of the double header saw Whitmire jump out to an early 9-1 lead before losing in the last inning by a score of 12-10. Olivia Martin pitched well on the mound throughout the game. Leading hitters were Ryleigh Sherfield and Alexus Sanders. Sherfield was 3-3 on the game with two runs scored. Sanders was 2-2 on the game with two runs scored and a BB.
The second game of the double header was all Jonesville as they won 17-6. The Lady Wolverines struggled to get anything going in the second game. At the plate the Wolverines were led by Amelia Bruyere and Nyla Hill. Bruyere was 2-2 with two runs scored and a Double. Hill was 2-3 with one run scored and three stolen bases.
The Lady Wolverines also hosted the JV Hornets from Dixie on Thursday. Dixie walked away with a 13-4 win on the night. The Wolverines played good defense throughout the game. Going into the final inning the score was 4-4, but the Dixie bats exploded for nine runs in the final inning. The Wolverines were led at the plate by Alexus Sanders and Lexie Conner. Sanders was 2-2 on the night. Conner was 1-1 with one run scored.
