WHITMIRE — On Thursday night the Lady Wolverines softball team hosted Dixie in a Region game. Dixie came away with the 13-4 victory. The Lady Wolverines were led on the mound by Kimberly Kendrick, who went five strong innings.
After five innings the game was tied 3-3, however in the sixth inning Dixie scored six runs on four hits and a couple walks. The Lady Wolverines never gave and competed all the way until the end of the game. At the plate the Wolverines were led by Michelle Ruff and Taylor Peay. Ruff was 2-4 with one run scored, one RBI, and two stolen bases. Peay was 2-3 with two runs scored and one stolen base.
The Lady Wolverines traveled to McCormick for a Region game on Tuesday night. The Wolverines walked away with a 17-0 win in three innings. Kimberly Kendrick was the winning pitcher. She only gave up two hits, while also registering six strikeouts in three innings of work.
