PROSPERITY — The following are updates from Mid-Carolina High School Athletics.
JV baseball defeated Newberry High 17-0 on Tuesday and Saluda 10-4 on Wednesday, they were defeated by Chapin 13-3 Thursday. JV soccer defeated Newberry High 3-0 Tuesday and lost to Columbia 5-4 Wednesday. The varsity softball team beat Newberry High School 18-3 Tuesday and Broome 10-3 on Thursday. The soccer team lost to Columbia 6-2 Wednesday, but defeated Batesburg-Leesville 3-2 on Thursday. The JV softball team defeated Broome 13-3 on Thursday. The baseball team defeated Saluda 11-1 on Wednesday, but lost to Chapin 5-4 on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the golf team shot at 168 to defeat Newberry and Clinton. PJ Jacobs 38, Zach Willingham 42, Ryan Stewart 44 and Alex Lake 44 led the team. On Wednesday, the team shot a season low 165 to defeat Union County, Broome and Newberry. Jacobs 36, Stewart 42, Willingham 43, Lake 44 led the team.
